who we are

Spun out of research at the University of Cambridge in 2022, DeepForm has developed a patented fold-flow pressing process that replaces the conventional draw stage in cold pressing.

This breakthrough technology enables up to 90% material utilisation, significantly reduces CO₂ emissions, maintains equivalent quality standards and integrates seamlessly into existing production systems. DeepForm already works with major global car makers—including Jaguar Land Rover and Volvo Group—helping them to reduce costs, minimise waste, and support the transition to net-zero manufacturing.

research & innovation

Our technology originates from research at the University of Cambridge, where our founders developed the patented fold-flow pressing process to minimise waste and transform how metal parts are made. This academic foundation remains central to how we innovate today.

We continue to collaborate with leading universities, research centres, and industry partners to push the boundaries of metal forming science. From material behaviour and process modelling to tool design and production-scale trials, our work combines deep technical insight with practical engineering outcomes.

Collaborations

intellectual property

Our portfolio protects the core fold-flow pressing process, the tool designs that enable it, and the system-level methods that make seamless integration possible. These patents reflect our commitment to redefining metal pressing-and to delivering reliable, scalable technology that manufacturers can trust.
