DeepForm Limited were delighted to have a 15 minute stage presentation at the June 2023 Plug and Play UK Mobility Expo at the National Automotive Innovation Centre in Warwick University.
CEO Chris Cleaver said:
“DeepForm® technology can reduce scrap in automotive Body-in-White parts by up to 85%, saving emissions and costs”.
DeepForm were introduced by Marcus Henry, Research Manager at JLR who said, explaining JLR’s interest in our company: “Finding a technology that both reduces emissions and saves money is of great interest to major companies like JLR ”.
The DeepForm Limited stand featured an example automotive panel we’ve been working on. By using the DeepForm method we’ve shown 40% less material can be used to make the same part.
This was evident to visitors to our stand who could pick up 3-D printed models of the current drawn shell, and the proposed DeepForm shell. As DeepForm engineer José Azevedo put it: “It was great to see the excitement of delegates, they could clearly appreciate the potential of the technology”
